A CAR caught fire in Highbridge this afternoon (October 22).
Fire crews tackled the blaze on Mill Green Close at 4.44pm, which caused severe damage.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "One fire appliance from Burnham on Sea attended a car on fire which was well alight on arrival.
"Crews got to work with breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to put the fire out.
"The fire caused severe damage, and the cause was accidental ignition."
