A POPULAR sushi chain is set to open a new kiosk in a Burnham-on-Sea supermarket.
A YO! Sushi kiosk will be coming to the town's Tesco superstore “very soon” as the supermarket business aims to expand its range of services.
The nearest existing YO! Sushi branches to Burnham customers can be found in Tesco's Glastonbury superstore, Exeter, Bath, Cardiff, and Plymouth.
The chain's menu includes aburi salmon dragon rolls, avocado maki, California temaki, beef teriyaki, chicken curry ramen, and chicken gyozas.
While an opening date has not been confirmed, customers have spotted Tesco's former fresh fish kiosk being transformed ahead of YO!'s launch.
A Tesco spokesperson said, “We’re always keen to offer a wide range of the best services for our customers and a YO! Sushi kiosk will open in our Burnham-on-Sea superstore very soon.”
The Burnham kiosk will be open from 7am until 5pm on weekdays and Saturday, and between 10am and 4pm on Sundays.
YO! Sushi has been operating in the UK since 1997 when it opened in Soho, London.
The company now runs nearly 100 locations in the UK, offering dine-in, delivery, and takeaway options alongside its Tesco kiosks.
It also has a presence in Ireland and further afield, with stores in Dubai, Oslo, Rotterdam, The Hague, and İstanbul Airport.
