A 37-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a body in a reservoir.
Police recovered the body from Yarrow reservoir in Hodge Brow near Rivington, Lancashire, in the early hours of Tuesday.
The victim has not yet been formally identifed but detectives believe it is missing Bolton man Darren McMinn, 48. His next of kin has been informed.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Candido Pereira, 37, of Chorley New Road, Bolton, has been charged with the murder of Darren McMinn."
Two other men, aged 34 and 29, have also been arrested on suspicion of murder and were released on bail pending further inquiries.
Mr McMinn was reported missing by concerned relatives on April 15 after he was last seen four days earlier in the Halliwell and Bromley Cross areas of Bolton.
Police said at the time that Mr McMinn's disappearance was "completely out of character".
Before going missing, Mr McMinn had moved out of his home in Connaught Square, Tonge Moor, and had spoken of possibly sleeping rough.
