Budleigh Salterton beach impacted by a sewage discharge

East Devon District Council says they have been made aware of a 'sewage discharge' by South West Water on Budleigh Salterton beach. The notice was published on the council Facebook page on Thursday (November 21). They said: "We have received a report of a sewage pollution incident at Budleigh Beach from the Environment Agency. Sewage is being discharged from the Lime Kiln Sewage Pumping station.

New CCTV cameras installed around Orcombe Point and Sandy Bay

NCI (National Coastwatch Institution) Exmouth are grateful for the cooperation of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) for supporting and enabling the installation of a CCTV camera which will improve public safety along Sandy Bay on the Exmouth coastline.

Christmas Winter Wonderland delayed because of 'too wintry' weather

Exeter's Winter Wonderland in Northernhay Gardens was due to open on Thursday (November 21) but has been cancelled because of today's heavy snowfall. In a post on Facebook they say: "Due to the heavy snowfall, we will be opening Winter Wonderland tomorrow at 5pm instead of the usual 10am.
