A NEW live music event started this weekend at St John’s Church in Highbridge.
On Saturday (September 18), around 70 people visited the church to watch performances from Mossflower and various other musicians from Highbridge, Burnham-on-Sea and further afield.
“We were delighted with the turn out and with the quality of the music,” said The Rev’d Martin Little, guitarist and parish priest of St John’s.
“People of all ages got up and played - the youngest being nine-years-old. The church had a fantastic atmosphere, and people really enjoyed being in the space.
‘Our thanks go to the performers, to Ollie Davies of GC Sound and Sight who made the church both look and sound fantastic.
“And to the amazing bar team who kept everyone lubricated, the design and marketing team and to Seed Sedgemoor for funding these events, which will run monthly for the next 10 months.”
The next Blues in the Pews event will be on Saturday, October 23.
