HIGHBRIDGE was 'filled with music and fun' on Sunday as performers took to the streets for the town's buskathon.
The buskathon saw acts including Bristol String Quartet, North Somerset Samba Band, The Beach'd Buoys, Wayne Pope, and Holly Simpson perform at seven Highbridge venues.
They were Highbridge Clock Tower, the railway station, the community centre, The Globe Inn, The Coopers Arms, St John's Church, and Sopha furniture shop.
Event organisers Bev and Sarah Milner said: "It was brilliant to see and hear Highbridge full of music on Sunday.
"There was such a diverse line-up of bands and musicians and it really did prove that cool stuff can happen in Highbridge!"
The event was funded by the Welcome Back Fund through the European Regional Development Fund, adminstered by Sedgemoor District Council.
Before the event, a spokesperson for Sedgemoor District Council said: "As part of our drive to get people back into towns and villages - and funded by the Government Welcome Back Fund - Highbridge will be filled with music this Sunday.
"This event is part of a programme of events, at different locations, to remind residents and visitors about the diverse nature of our shops and businesses in towns and villages."
In a Facebook post, a council spokesperson said: "We hope that Highbridge will be full of music and fun while showcasing different genres of music and local talent."
Our photographer Steve Richardson attended the event to capture the performers in action.
