TICKETS are now on sale for a volunteer-run book festival in Burnham-on-Sea, the first of its kind for the town.
Burnham Book Festival will have over 20 activites taking place across the April 22 and 23.
These include readings and panel talks from award-winning authors like Damien Boyd, Jessica Andrews, and Somerset local Kara Neblett.
Event coordinator Lewis Coleman said: “We’ve got so many fantastic writers on board.”
Workshops aimed at supporting local writers will make up a large portion of the event.
Children’s author Chris Vick will also be at the event, judging entries to the festival’s writing competition alongside Jessica and Kara.
Other kid-friendly events include a workshop on how to make a magical creature and a Queen’s Jubilee writing session.
“We’re really excited to have such a great programme of sessions at our first festival,” said co-organiser Mike Price.
The event will be held at The Princess Theatre and Burnham Library.
Tickets to the event and a form to apply to volunteer can be found on the Burnham Book Festival website.
