MUSICIANS and singers are encouraged to bring their instruments to St John's Church in Highbridge for a jam and open mic night next month.
Blues in the Pews will return to the church on Saturday, September 24 between 7.30pm and 10pm after a successful first run of sessions.
The event will then be held monthly until June 2023, giving local musicians of all ages and abilities the chance to perform and socialise.
A house band will also play, and there is a fully licensed bar.
There is a £5 fee for adults. Under 18s can enter for free, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
The Revd Martin Little, who organises Blues in the Pews, said: “We had a fantastic run of ten Blues in the Pews sessions in the past last year, as well as some fantastic workshops and a musical masterclass.
“All the feedback indicated that local people - both musicians and music fans - want to see Blues in the Pews continue for another year.
“We are grateful to Seed Sedgemoor for their continued partial funding of these events, and are introducing a £5 door charge to help cover the rest of the costs.
“We hope you'll agree it's well worth it! See you on September 24!”
