HAS Banksy really taken a liking to the Sedgemoor coast?
A couple of images have been recently painted onto a wall beside a bus stop in Brean and a cafe on the pier at Burnham-on-Sea.
The picture in Brean shows what appears to be a space traveller graffitied over a colourful picture of children playing in the sea.
Over in Burnham-on-Sea the image is of an unhappy little girl crouching.
Both images have a resemblance to Banksy's work.
It's not the first time Brean has been targeted with Banksyesque creations.
Last year we reported how an image of a young lady holding an Asda carrier bag had appeared on a wall at the Sunnyside Caravan Park, at Warren Farm.
Park director Chris Harris denied any knowledge of the design, claiming the first he knew about it was when he arrived for work one morning.
It gave campers plenty to talk about, although people doubting its authenticity pointed out that there were already two similar pictures painted locally.
If anyone was minded to carry out a bit of detective work, it might be possible to discover the identity of the artist in Burnham-on-Sea as the picture was painted in full view of a nearby CCTV camera.
We're grateful to Steve Jones for sending over the photographs.
But what do you think - a genuine Banksey or a total fake?
