Touring theatre group Conn Artists will bring Far from the Madding Crowd to The Princess Theatre next spring.
Thomas Hardy's masterpiece will be adapted by Nick Young and Ross Muir for the show on March 22.
The story follows Bathsheba Everdene, a capricious, independent beauty who inherits and manages her uncle’s farm.
She is courted by three suitors: an honest shepherd, a charming Sergeant, and a wealthy farmer.
The play explores themes of love, class, and gender roles, set against the rural landscape of Victorian England.
The performance will be brought to life by an ensemble cast, accompanied by period music.
The Argus, reviewing the group's past performance, described it as "a riveting example of ensemble theatre at its very best."
Remote Goat praised Conn Artists for their "strong, vivid and emotional storytelling."
The Stage said: "Conn Artists has made regional theatre feel in ruder health overnight."
Tickets for the performance went on sale on October 11, priced at £20.
