JEAN BAKER

BAKER. Jean. Passed away on 6th March 2014 at Holywell Nursing Home, Brent Knoll, aged 89. Jean was a much loved District Nurse and Midwife in the Sedgemoor area from the 1950's until 1984 after which she helped to run the Kathleen Chambers Deaf/Blind Home. Jean was an active member of the community, including Church activities, Choral Society and Cub Scouts. She was the devoted wife of the late Ralph (George) to whom she was married for over 53 years and loving mum of Jeremy and Adrian. A service of thanksgiving for Jean's life will be held at St Andrew's Church, Burnham-on-Sea on Wednesday 19th March at 12.00 followed by a private family cremation at Sedgemoor Crematorium. Family flowers only please, but donations are welcome for The Alzheimers's Society at the service or care of P J Harris, Funeral Service, 2 Cross Street, Burnham-on-Sea, TA8 1BN.
