THE future of Burnham's Esplanade lights looked to be safe on Monday after it was revealed cash to pay for their repairs would be on its way.
Heavy damage to the illuminations was caused by a storm, which battered the resort's seafront and caused metal and glass on the structures to be wrecked.
Cllr Neville Jones said he was pleased to report repairs should be able to take place.
"Zurich Insurance is likely to meet the majority of the costs," he said.
