FEARS over the future of the damaged Burnham jetty have been addressed by Sedgemoor District Council.
The local authority has insisted the immediate short-term plan is to make sure the access way is ready for the Easter holiday season.
But a barrier and marker posts will have to be constructed to stop the damaged area being reached, but still allow for launching.
Council spokesman Claire Faun told the Weekly News: "A full options report is being prepared for a permanent solution to address the deteriorated state of the jetty.
"This report will go to the Executive for a decision in May."
