A VOTE conducted on the Weekly News website, in which nearly 100 people took part, has given a mixed response to news of adult entertainment coming to Burnham.
Shakers nightclub was given licence to host occasional gentlemen's nights earlier this year and for the past month readers have been giving their views on the evenings.
The most popular option by far scored 35.4% and said it was a bad idea and would give Burnham a seedy image, with a further 24.6% saying it was hardly the best way to boost the image of a family resort.
A total of 3.1% of people said they had no opinion on the proposals, but the rest of respondents seemed to be broadly in favour of the idea.
Around 16.9% said they did not mind adult entertainment in the town, and 20% said they thought it was a great idea and they would be at the front of the queue.
