FIRE crews had to make an early morning dash to a Burnham home on Wednesday (February 21) after a bedroom carpet caught alight.
Two engines from the town station rushed to the Rectory Road property at 7.40am to deal with the problem on the first floor.
The flames were put out using two hose reel jets and two fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus and the smoke logged home was cleared using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
Fire officials have confirmed that the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
