Could an ice rink be on its way to the town?
AMBITIOUS plans to build a 2,500-seat ice arena in Burnham have been unearthed by the Weekly News - and the designs could transform the town.
The multi-purpose building would draw thousands of visitors from across Somerset and give the local economy an enormous boost.
Bar and restaurant facilities could nestle alongside a rink used for community skating, professional ice hockey, shows and discos and the cold surface could be covered for other activities, including basketball.
