A NEW 14.6acre business park is being built in Highbridge which could bring a jobs boost to the town.
Developer, KMW Trading Limited, has started infrastructure works on the new 14.6 acre Oak Tree Business Park in Bristol Road to bring forward serviced employment land and new design and build opportunities for businesses seeking industrial and logistics space along the M5 corridor.
The new business park offers roadside plots fronting the A38 Bristol Road with land to the rear with consent for offices, industrial and storage uses.
Property consultants, Alder King, are agents on the new scheme along with Greenslade Taylor Hunt and an Alder King spokesperson said discussions are ongoing with a number of businesses interested in the opportunities presented by the business park.
Andrew Maynard, partner at Alder King, said: “There has been a very positive start to this new development site.
“Work on the estate roads began before Christmas and the site is now ready to deliver a range of new buildings to a client’s specific brief.
“As a result of the early interest we are now considering building a small terraced light industrial scheme on one of the plots.
“This will provide a number of starter units of 728 sq ft up to 3,495 sq ft and will be available on a freehold or leasehold basis.”
The new business park is located just half a mile south of Junction 22 of the M5.
The area has seen a number of new developments recently including a new Aldi store and Travelodge hotel and is close to the nearby Isleport Business Park.
