TWO children’s play areas in Sedgemoor are reopening to the public after getting a makeover thanks to Sedgemoor District Council.
The parks, which are based in Crosses Penn, Burnham-on-Sea and Marsa Way, Bridgwater, have been given a revamp thanks to £65,000 of funding from the council.
Crosses Penn in Burnham-on-Sea reopened at midday on Friday (January 22) and has a new climbing unit with three slides, a wheelchair friendly roundabout, four way see-saw, pendulum swing, assault course, wobble board, overhead rotator and two new access gates.
The project cost £50,000.
The play area in Marsa Way, Bridgwater, will be opened next week and has a new climbing frame featuring three accesses and a slide, a toddler swing and some interactive talk tubes featuring a mobile phone design.
The project will cost £15,000.
