BARRIERS which are used during roadworks had to be removed from a Somerset street by police as they were unlawfully blocking the road.
Police were called to Burnham Road in Burnham-on-Sea at 2.50am on Sunday (January 31) to reports of anti-social behaviour.
Officers arrived and found barriers left in the road.
They conducted a search of the area but no one was found.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police, said: “We received reports at about 2.50am on Sunday, January 31 of antisocial behaviour in Burnham Road, Burnham-on-Sea.
“Barriers from roadworks had been left in the road.
“Officers attended and conducted a search of the area, which proved negative. They cleared the road resumed patrol at about 3.25am.”
