POLICE have today (Wednesday) raided a suspected cannabis farm taking up three floors of a building.
Neighbourhood police carried out a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at premises in College Street, Burnham-on-Sea.
Inside the building, which they entered this morning, officers discovered more than 200 suspected cannabis plants being grown across three floors.
Western Power was called to help make the electricity supply safe.
Police remained at the scene into this afternoon carrying out forensic investigations and clearing the plants and growing equipment.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis and currently remains in police cells at the time of writing.
