A MAN arrested in Brean last week, as part of a police investigation into a series of thefts from shops in Burnham-on-Sea, has since been released.
Shops in Burnham's town centre have been hit by several thefts recently, the latest of which saw a charity collection box and money from a till being stolen.
Subsequently, a man was arrested at Brean Leisure Park last Tuesday, and Avon and Somerset Police have now provided an update.

A police spokesperson told the Weekly News: "We were called at approximately 3.15pm on Tuesday, April 20, following reports of a break-in.
"A 31-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of a non-dwelling burglary offence.
"He has since been released under investigation. Enquiries continue."
