A WILDLIFE-loving couple were taken aback when they spotted what they believe were two emus strutting around in a Somerset field.
Margaret and Roy Worth, from Minehead, were heading to a car boot sale early yesterday morning (Sunday) when they spotted the birds in a field.
Mrs Worth said she thinks there may also have been some young, although the grass was too long to see them.
She said: "We were on the B3139 at Mark Causeway in a field adjoining Wainbridge Farm at 7.35am,
"We were going to Cheddar Car Boot the pretty way because we always hope we will see wildlife.
"They were about 50 feet from us and making funny little noises either to each other or maybe their chicks."
