A WOMAN had to be rescued after fainting atop a Somerset beauty spot.
Fire crews were called to the top of Cheddar Gorge at around 3.20pm after being called to reports of the woman collapsing on a 'steep incline'.
"A call was received to a female who had fainted and fallen at the top of Cheddar gorge on a steep incline," said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"The crew arrived on scene and requested the off road vehicle from Cheddar to assist.
"Contact was made with the casualty, and working with paramedics was extricated from the steep cliff path using a paraguard stretcher and into the waiting ambulance."
