AN injured woman has thanked the brave crews who worked to get her out of an isolated Somerset spot.
The Avon and Somerset Search and Rescue Team was called out to a location near Cheddar Gorge by Avon and Somerset Police to help move an injured woman.
The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust was moving the woman to a roadside ambulance.
She was successfully moved by the crew, and she later took to social media to praise the crews after she suffered a broken leg.
"I am so grateful for all your help yesterday in getting me out of the Gorge," the casualty said.
"I cannot thank-you all enough using your expertise, knowledge and team work and doing a fantastic job in all weathers.
"Especially like to thank Alan and Keith (passers-by) for all their help in calling out the rescue teams and for going and getting blankets and supplies from the local charity shop.
"Also grateful for Weston General Hospital in the care I received for my temporary cast for my broken leg.
"Best wishes to you all."
