TEN fire crews were sent to tackle a fire at the Hinkley Point C construction site this afternoon.
The blaze at the nuclear power plant development, Europe's largest construction site, started at around 2.20pm in a building on Hinkley Point Road.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the fire was extinguished in about 30 minutes and there were no reported injuries.
EDF Energy said construction work had not been affected and an investigation into the cause was under way, the BBC reported.
A company spokesman said it was a "small fire in a temporary building away from the main construction area".
