VISITORS enjoyed a night out at the Here Comes The Sun evening on Friday (September 17), organised by The Friends of Burnham Hospital.
This night of entertainment was to raise money for this hospital charity. It was the first major event the group had put on since the start of the pandemic.
The night raised more than £700.
Ceri Joyce, chair of The Friends of Burnham Hospital, said: "It was such a pleasure to be able to hold the first of our fundraisers at Brean Country Club and we extend our gratitude to Alan House and all at Holiday Resort Unity for offering us their beautiful venue.
"The impressive facilities, superb food and courteous and helpful staff, all added to the wonderful atmosphere of the evening.
“We are aiming to focus on some high-profile projects in the coming months and the first of these to be considered is the refurbishment of the courtyard garden at the hospital for the benefit of the patients as well as the outside seating area for the staff. All of which hopefully will be unveiled in the spring of 2022.”
The Friends of Burnham Hospital's next event is a Coffee Morning and Tabletop sale on October 16 at The Methodist Church on College Street.
