SIXTY competitors from across the South West took part in an orienteering weekend in Bridgwater.
The Bridgwater Urban Orienteering event, organised by the Quantock Orienteers, had flat courses ranging from 3km to 9km.
Runners sped through the town, checking in a the various orange and white control stations.
Judy, from Quantock Orienteers, said: "Certain areas were technically challenging which needed extra concentration to plan a route through a maze of buildings.
"As a result there was a lively discussion afterwards about which was the best route to have taken and how much time could have been saved 'if only' they’d turned left instead of going straight.
"Everyone got back safely, rather jaded, with pink cheeks and a big smile – thank you Bridgwater!"
The events lasted two days, with participants taking part in events on both Saturday, February 12, and Sunday, February 13.
