Frome has been named in a list of the most welcoming towns in the UK to take a staycation.
The list was created by Booking.com as part of its Traveller Review Awards 2022 Frome is the only English town to make the cut.
Jam-packed with culture and a thriving art and food scene Booking.com encouraged others to experience the town especially for fans of antique and vintage shops.
Plus it mentions Frome's tradition of transforming into a mini-festival every first Sunday of each month, celebrating the town's history with food and entertainment.
The town leading way with its anti-loneliness scheme has also been noted as well its aim to bring share shops and co-working spaces to the community.
Catherine Hill also made a mark with its classical feel, cobbled streets, and wide range of independent shops that tourists love.
Booking.com also picked out the local luxury B&B Stay at Penny's Hill as the best place to stay when visiting Frome.
With its beautiful view over the brook, private riverbank, and home-cooked breakfast Penny's is not only loved by visitors of the welcoming town but locals too's.
