CYCLISTS from across Somerset joined together for Wheelie Wedmore earlier this month.
Visitors to the event, which was held at the Borough in Wedmore, enjoyed bike sales, chatted to repair specialists, bought kit, browsed the cycle jumble and campaigns, and took part in accompanied rides.
Wheelie Wedmore, organised in association with eat:Festivals and funded by the Government Welcome Back Fund, was part of a programme of events designed to bring people back to the high street.
Organiser Bev Milner Simonds said: "It was a challenging day with heavy rain and blustery winds, but it was great to have hardy cyclists and local riders popping into the event.
"Cycling in Sedgemoor is so easy because it is so flat so we hope some leisure cyclists have found the confidence to get their bikes out of the shed and explore the towns and countryside."
