A MAN from Burnham-on-Sea has been fined £246 after he was clocked driving at 96mph on the M5.
Adam Reece Norman, of Berrow Road, was caught speeding in a BMW on the motorway at junction 20 near Clevedon.
Norman, 23, exceeded the 70mph speed limit on April 12, 2021.
He pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure on Monday, March 14.
The single justice procedure gives defendants accused of minor offences the chance to have their case heard by a magistrate without going to court.
He was fined £246 by Bath Magistrates' Court and told to pay court costs of £90 and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
Norman was also handed six penalty points.
His guilty plea was taken into account when his sentence was imposed.
He has until April 25 to pay his £370 court bill.
