MEMBERS of Burnham’s Moose lodge 123 gathered at Brean Country club, on Wednesday evening, for their annual ladies’ night.
Not to be confused with other events, this is a traditional black-tie dinner, when the ladies of Moose are honoured for the support they give to the lodge over the preceding twelve months.

The 59 Moose members were treated to the country club’s excellent catering and five-star service.
The dinner was preceded by a presentation of flowers to ladies’ circle President Julia Kattana, and Moose Governor’s lady Anne Kingstom-White.
The meal was followed by the usual speeches and loyal toasts, plus extra presentations, and of course the usual Moose super raffle.
Burnham Moose publicity officer Mike Lang said: “Sadly, because of Covid 19 restrictions, our regular monthly meetings at Berrow village hall, and fundraising events had been halted, but the welfare support of our older members, widows, and widowers, had continued in the background.
However, after a few months of online preparation meetings, we opened up to our lodge meetings at the end of last summer.
