Beach wardens returned to Sedgemoor beaches briefly on March 28 and 29 for two days of intensive refresher training.
They are set to return for the foreseeable future on April 7, just before the start of the school Easter holidays, when beaches see a large increase in visitors, particularly young children and families.
Burnham-on-Sea, Berrow, and Brean beaches will all have a stationed warden between 10am and 6pm from Monday to Friday and between 9am and 6pm at weekends.
These times are designed to mitigate danger by taking potential tidal conditions into account.
Wardens will supervise beach activities, give first aid, collect parking fees, check jetty permits, and give out valuable beach safety advice.
The toilets at Brean will be open from April 7, when the wardens return, and temporary toilets have been installed at Burnham-on-Sea whilst the regular toilets are being renovated.
