A HIGHBRIDGE man has been banned from attending any football match in the UK for the next three years.
Spencer Pettifor, 31, of Stiling Close, was caught trying to ignite a smoke device among home supporters after Bristol City scored in their home match against Middlesbrough on February 19 this year.
He pleaded guilty at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Wednesday to possession of a pyrotechnic under the Sporting Events Act.
Pettifor will also have to carry out 80 hours’ unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order and must pay a total of £180 in costs and a fine.
