THE North Somerset branch of the RSPCA in Brent Knoll has announced the long-awaited return of its Sunday Funday.

After a two-year break due to Covid, the biggest event on the branch's fundraising calendar will be held on Sunday, September 11 between 11am and 4pm.

The family-friendly event will feature plenty of entertainment, food options, and several stalls offering a range of goods.

Local businesses have been encouraged to get involved either as stallholders or event sponsors.

Branch fundraiser Dawn Pawlett said: “We are very excited to be able to welcome the community to the animal centre on September 11.

“It’s the only day of the year where the whole centre is open to the public, who will be able to walk around and see some of the animals in our care.

“You can pay at the gate and we have some great entertainment planned for children and adults, lots of food on offer, and plenty of stalls to purchase gifts.

“We even have an RSPA Christmas stall for the early-bird Christmas shoppers!

“There are still a few places left for entertainers or stallholders, and we would really like to encourage local businesses to come on board as a sponsor for the event where they can display their banner or bring a promotional stand to the event.”

The RSPCA North Somerset branch rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes animals from different circumstances - including some that have suffered cruelty or neglect. It is located on Brent Road.
