CHILDREN will have the opportunity to search for hidden treasure at Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park in Highbridge on Wednesday, August 24.
The Friends of Apex Park group has announced that its treasure hunt is back following a successful event in 2019.
Children (over three years old and accompanied by an adult) will be welcomed to the park to take part in the exciting, free event.
The treasure hunt will take around one hour to complete, and all children who join in will receive a small reward.
The hunt will begin at the Apex Park office in the car park, where participants will be able to collect their maps.
The event was initially scheduled for Wednesday, August 17, but it was postponed due to the forecast “stormy weather”.

A spokesperson said: “It's free to take part, so come along to the Apex office in the car park to collect your map!
“Looking forward to seeing you between 11am and 1pm. Happy hunting!
“Due to current weather conditions, everyone should have suitable sun protection, footwear, sun hats, sun cream and bring water.”
The Friends of Apex Park is a group of volunteers established in 2001 that aims to protect and enhance the site as a place for leisure and a wildlife habitat.
The group holds regular meetings and works closely with Sedgemoor District Council.
Apex Park and Marine Cove Gardens in Burnham-on-Sea recently retained their Green Flag Awards that recognise them as “well-managed parks and green spaces”.
