MORE than 400 members of the community turned out for the return of the East Brent Harvest Home on Friday (August 26).
Among the highlights of the traditional event, which was first held in the 1850s but was cancelled during the pandemic, was the Parade of the Puddings, with a gigantic cheese and bread - and even a Christmas pudding.
Guests enjoyed a harvest meal and entertainment in the marquee.
Martin Thatcher was the guest speaker and he took along some of his family firm's cider, while Pynes of Somerset organised the hog roast and a charity auction proved popular.
There were plenty of sports competitions for children and several fair rides.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Our committee members put so much thought and effort into the day over the course of the year to make sure we bring you a day you won’t forget.
"We are always looking at new ideas of what else we can bring to the day.
"If there is something you would like to see at the day please tell us."
