RESCUE workers interacted with locals and tourists at the return of Burnham's Emergency Services Day at the weekend.
Members of the Coastguard, RNLI, and fire station were joined by police community support officers (PCSOs) and representatives of other services on Sunday.
It was the first time the event had been held since 2019 because of the Covid pandemic.
The day featured an RNLI demonstration, a Coastguard mud rescue, and a BARB hovercraft exercise.
It was opened by cllr Lesley Millard, the mayor of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge.
A spokesperson for BARB Search & Rescue said: “Thank you to everyone who attended the return of Burnham’s emergency services day yesterday!
“It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the event while supporting BARB and the many other excellent groups.
“It was great to see so many organisations supporting this long-running event with engaging displays and demonstrations.”
An RNLI Lifeboats at Burnham-on-Sea spokesperson added: “Thanks to everyone who came to the Esplanade and engaged with us today.
“It was great to stand alongside our colleagues and friends from Burnham Coastguard Rescue Team and BARB Search & Rescue as well as the other emergency services and stalls on display.”
