FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Brent Knoll caravan blaze in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Crews from Burnham-on-Sea and Cheddar were called to the scene at around 12.18am after fire control was alerted to the incident.
Upon arrival, they found one caravan on fire, which was extinguished by firefighters using breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.
A Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews were quickly mobilised to the incident and on arrival reported one caravan fully involved in fire.
“Two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet were used to extinguish the fire.
“Unfortunately, the caravan was 100 per cent destroyed. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
The fire service has issued advice for people who live or holiday in a caravan or mobile home.
This includes parking at least six metres away from other caravans and parked vehicles, placing BBQs or stoves a safe distance away, and regularly testing smoke alarms.
