A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with “potentially life-threatening injuries” after a collision between a car and two pedestrians in Brean.
The incident took place on South Road, near the Pontins Brean Sands Holiday Park, at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, September 20.
The driver of the vehicle and a woman were treated for minor injuries.
The road was shut in both directions with a diversion route in place while the emergency services were at the scene.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We were called to South Road in Brean yesterday (Tuesday, September 20) at around 2.30pm following reports of a collision between a car and two pedestrians.
“A man was taken to hospital by the air ambulance with potentially life-threatening injuries. A woman was also treated for minor injuries.
“The driver also sustained minor injuries.
“The road was closed in both directions with diversions in place while emergency services attended.”
