HIGHBRIDGE got into the festive spirit as its Christmas lights were switched on on Saturday (November 19)
The fun started with a lantern parade between Southwell House and Market Street organised by arts groups Seed and carol singing along with Churchfield School Choir, along with the Rev Martin Little.
The town's deputy Mayor Cllr Sharon Perry performed the honours as the lights went on following a day of family fun.
There was an elf trail, a visit from Santa at Maisey's Bakery and a Christmas Craft Fair.
The day was supported by Our Highbridge, Seed Sedgemoor, Fuse, Highbridge Chamber of Trade, Create You, Maiseys Bakery, Burnham and Highbridge Town Council, Sopha and Barnies.
Cllr Perry said: "It was a lovely day of entertainment to mark the start of Highbridge’s Christmas celebrations.
"It was wonderful to see so many families and young people enjoying it.”
