BURNHAM-on-Sea RNLI Lifeboat Station's Brew with the Crew event attracted a slow but steady flow of visitors and families.
Members of the public were were able to talk with the crew and look over the hi-tech lifeboats and equipment in use at Burnham-on-Sea.
Organising the event were members of the water safety team, with assistance from volunteer crew members.
RNLI fundraising volunteers were on hand to assist with the distribution of safety leaflets and sell RNLI branded merchandise.
Splott Farm Camping, from Blackford, supplied two giant bags of their Lighthouse Roast craft coffee to make the morning go with a zing.
One particular visitor, four-year-old Ruairi Conlon was an ardent RNLI enthusiast who loves lifeboats and is carrying out the Mayday mile challenge to raise money for the RNLI.
He said he wants to be part of the RNLI team.
Burnham-on-Sea lifeboat operations manager Matt Davis said: "This was a terrific opportunity to look at what we do and how we do it, especially if you have thought about joining us as a lifeboat volunteer."
