A NEW pole and aerial fitness studio opened up in Highbridge on June 11.
Studio Essence is a fitness studio which focuses on offering people the opportunity to get fitter, healthier and stronger in a different and more dynamic way, offering a complete change from a standard workout.
Studio Essence started life as Pole Essence, which focused on pole dancing classes.
Pole Essence became Studio Essence as they wanted to create more opportunities for people to break away from normal ways of exercising and staying fit and offer more alternatives not just pole dancing.
The studio has great amenities such as an eight aerial slings, eight aerial hoops, eight aerial silks, eight competitions x-poles and lots of flexibility equipment, mood lighting, safety mats in abundance, a comfy waiting area, a brand new kitchenette
A spokesperson for the studio said: "We teach pole and aerial fitness to adults and children.
"We moved to the new premises in February but had our opening day on Sunday, June 11. The business started in 2012.
"With the new bigger premises we are launching new adults classes, aerial silks, aerial sling, aerial hoop and pole. New courses starting week commencing June 19.
"It was taken over and kitted out with a mezzanine floor, offices, toilets, kitchen and two studios which took three months, and then the business moved over to the new premises."
Owner Sam Smith said: "I still can’t believe this is their new studio, it’s just so beautiful. Can’t wait to grow into it and welcome lots of new students through the doors."
Beginner courses take six weeks and cost £75. After the course comes to an end, the lessons will continue at the same time and day.
In the beginner courses, students can learn a variety of tricks, spins and combinations to take on and grow as they work your way through the syllabus.
