A BURNHAM-ON-SEA primary school that was rated 'inadequate' by Ofsted last year has been making "rapid changes".
Berrow C of E Primary School appointed Charlotte Bradley as their new principal earlier this year, and joined The Prior Learning Trust in January.
It seems as though massive improvements have been made at the school, as a spokesperson described the changes as "an exciting new era".
The school has reportedly seen widespread improvements in safeguarding, strategic planning, and the curriculum.
School facilities have also been upgraded, including a newly expanded forest school.
An Ofsted monitoring visit in May confirmed the school was headed in the right direction, writing in their report: "Pupils say they feel safe in school... teachers are positive about the directions of the school,"
"Leader's action plans are clear, precise and measurable…. allowing governors to support and challenge leaders about the school’s progress." The report read.
Berrow Primary's new principal, Charlotte Bradley, who has been at the helm of the school's rejuvenation, said: "There is an exciting air of positivity around our school and community that is almost tangible - we intend to continue moving at a rapid pace to ensure Berrow becomes a great school again for children, staff and our community."
Lisa Dadds, Director of Primary Education and Standards, said: “This is becoming a really strong community and we are all working together to help make this a really great school."
