THE toilets of a popular seafront pub in Burnham-on-Sea have been commended after an inspection by officials from the Loo of the Year Awards 2023.
The Reed's Arms Wetherspoons on Pier Street has earned itself Platinum Plus honours for its toilets, scoring highly across its men's, women's, and accessible bathrooms.
A spokesperson for the Loo of the Year Awards explained that Platinum Plus is the second highest rating possible, lower only than diamond, which is very rarely given out.
Inspectors judge all toilets to 101 different criteria in order to give the most accurate and prestigious rating possible.
These criteria include cleanliness, health and safety, décor, and many more categories.
Becky Wall, managing director at the Loo of the Year Awards said: "The toilets at The Reed's Arms have been designed and fitted out to a very high standard, and are both clean and well maintained.
"The pub deserves its platinum plus award."
