A LUXURY country estate and holiday venue near the Mendip Hills has been given permission to become a wedding venue.
Willow Tree Farm, located in Mark, announced it had been granted a wedding licence yesterday (Tuesday, December 12).
The decision means the site, which already operates as a holiday home rental and events hire business, will be able to diversify in the near future.
Owner Sam Jackson said: “Having had two years of very successful trading, and so many guests saying Willow Tree would make a wonderful wedding venue, we sought to expand our market.
“From exclusive private festival-themed weddings to rustic country style weddings, Willow Tree Farm holds so much potential for planning a secluded, intimate and ultimately unique wedding.
“Offering the venue and accommodation together is proving very popular amongst couples who want everything under one roof.
“Enjoying open fires, hot tubs and spectacular views of sunrises and sunsets, we believe Willow Tree Farm offers the perfect intimate wedding experience.
“We are over the moon to get approval.”
A notice posted on the venue's website says: “From exclusive private festival weddings to idyllic rustic country weddings and everything in-between, say 'I do' surrounded by stunning views of the Mendips and the Somerset Levels.
“With 10 bedrooms across two properties and four beautiful bell tents for hire, accommodate your whole wedding party all under one roof.
