SEVERAL flood alerts have been issued across Somerset after heavy rain continued to pour down on the county this weekend.
Flooding is possible in most of the Sedgemoor area spanning from Bridgwater to Burnham-on-Sea, according to the Environment Agency.
In an alert issued at 7:15am this morning (Monday, March 11), areas most at risk from the high tide include coastal and tidal areas at Minehead, Combwich, Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Uphill, Weston-super-Mare, Kewstoke, Sand Bay and Kingston Seymour.
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: "Further rainfall is forecast overnight.
"After this tide, no further impacts are expected.
"We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert if necessary.
"Consider activating any property flood protection products, and plan driving routes to coastal roads, which may be flooded."

Emergency road closures were put in place at Cutts Road (East Lyng to Athelney), and New Road (West Lyng to North Curry), but Travel Somerset has revealed both roads have now re-opened.

Flood alerts in Somerset - Flooding possible
The Environment Agency says flooding is 'possible' in the following areas.
Those affected are advised to avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and urged not to attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water.
- Lower Tone and Parrett Moors: Lower Rivers Tone and Parrett including West Moor, Hay Moor, Curry Moor, Stan Moor, Salt Moor and North Moor.
- Somerset coast at Minehead, Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea and Uphill to Kingston Seymour: Coastal and tidal areas at Minehead, Combwich, Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Uphill, Weston-super-Mare, Kewstoke, Sand Bay and Kingston Seymour..
- Somerset coast at Porlock Weir: Coastline between Gore Point and Hurlstone Point including Porlock Weir.
- South East Somerset Rivers, Upper Reaches: River Yeo from Sherborne to Yeovil, River Wriggle, Barwick Stream, West Coker Stream and the River Cam.
