TWO children who were reported missing last week were located shortly after Burnham-on-Sea RNLI volunteers were paged to help.
At 8:43pm on Thursday, August 1, the local RNLI was asked to assist with a search for two missing children by Milford Haven Coastguard.
The pair were reported missing from the Unity Farm holiday park, in Brean.
Both Burnham lifeboats were launched, and prepared to carry out a shoreline search, in liaison with HM Coastguard rescue teams and police, towards Brean.
However, crews were stood down before reaching the search area.
Helmsman Jason Coombes said: "We had launched and were making way to the search area, when we were stood down, after the children had been safely discovered on shore.
"Sea state was moderate in the fresh on shore winds, but not uncomfortable.
"We returned to Burnham slipway for recovery and wash-down by our shore crew volunteers. In the end, a happy result."
