A WEDMORE-based home care provider has won a prestigious award in recognition of the company’s dedication to care in Somerset.
You Are My Sunshine Homecare Ltd (YAMS) won the ‘Home Care of the Year Award’ for Somerset in late September at the Southern Enterprise Awards 2024. The well-respected awards are run by SME News and reward the good work of small and medium-sized businesses in the South West region.
Kate Andreoletti, Managing Director, said: “All the team at YAMS are all over the moon and extremely proud of the award that we have won for Best Home Care Service - Somerset 2024. There are so many care providers out there providing excellent care. To be recognised like this is an amazing achievement and I am so proud of the whole team. Each and every one always put their whole hearts into the visits we provide and without them, YAMS would not be what it is today.”
This latest accolade will join the company’s previous wins, when it won the Small Business of the Year Award 2023 at the Somerset Business Awards. Writing on their Facebook page, YAMS said: “YAMS work tirelessly whether that’s out in the field or in the office behind the scenes, making sure that everyone is safe, cared for and feeling loved.”
YAMS was established in 2018 and provides home care in Wedmore, Cheddar, Axbridge, Wells, Congresbury, Mark, Shipham, Winscombe, Burham-on-Sea, and the surrounding areas. The company has a team of 50 fully qualified carers that go into the community to provide care for over 150 clients from a range of private and public backgrounds. YAMS is rated Good by the Care Quality Commission in all areas.
Alongside home care provision, YAMS runs also weekly activity groups and disability holidays. The company has partnered with Lower Laurel Farm near Weston-super-Mare to be their care provider of choice.
