THE driver of this lorry had a surprise when they stopped at Sedgemoor Services on the M5 today (Tuesday, October 26).
They were met by officers from Avon and Somerset Police's roads policing unit - and ordered to hand over an unpaid fine.
The fine had been originally been imposed for allowing illegal immigrants to enter the UK on one of the company's trucks.
The vehicle was allowed to proceed on its way once the debt had been settled.
In a social media post, the unit said: "Stopped on M5 at Sedgemoor Services as part of #OpCuter (Non-payment of fines imposed following clandestine entrants to UK) by our #OT35.
"Fine paid on this occasion, so vehicle released to continue its journey."
