TIM Hortons has confirmed the opening date of its first drive-thru and restaurant in Somerset.
The Canadian fast food chain will open the doors of its Weston-super-Mare restuarant, located at The Poaches Pocket, Weston Links, on Thursday, February 17 at 7am.
The menu will feature the company's best-selling items, including Timbits, Iced Capps, freshly-baked doughnuts, Tim's Crispy Chicken Sandwich, beef burgers, hot dogs, and lattice fries.
The celebrate the company's arrival in Somerset, it will be offering free drinks for 365 days to the first person in the drive-thru and restaurant queues - a prize worth around £3,100.
The first 100 customers who arrive at the new restaurant will receive a free breakfast meal, which includes a main breakfast item, a hash brown, and a small hot drink or orange juice.
Local customers will also have the chance to win a range of prizes, including hot drinks and doughnuts, by activating their Tim Hortons' digital wallet.
To enter, guests will need to scan a QR code at the restaurant or visit this link on their mobile phone.
Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer of the Tim Hortons franchise in the UK, said: "Today's announcement marks an exciting new chapter for Tim Hortons as we open for the first time in Somerset.
"Fans have been waiting expectantly for this news, and we can’t wait for the community to try our food and drink offering we’re so proud of and so well known for.
"Our talented team are training hard behind the scenes making final preparations, and we look forward to giving away some fantastic prizes to deserving winners, in our usual Tim Hortons style."
The new Tim Hortons restaurant will be open seven days a week from 6am until midnight to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Canadian fast food franchise will open on the site of a former Pizza Hut restaurant.
